Ephesians 5:16 “Above all taking the shield of faith wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”
Faith is the MOST IMPORTANT aspect of living as Christ did. To gain the abundant life we must use faith in every area of our lives. The book of Hebrews dedicated a whole chapter with 40 verses on the subject.
I am learning that faith is a powerful weapon that can disrupt the plans of the adversary. It has been hard to stay faithful when I am being beaten over and over again. But I must push on. The prize is worth it! My spiritual inheritance is worth it! I have to continue to fight the good fight of faith.
I hope this encourages someone to do the same. Iron sharpens iron. You are not alone!
Blessings to you,
So today Abba Father confirmed His word over me.
I was overjoyed and extremely encouraged!
Things that were spoken were almost forgotten. The seeds planted seemed to NEVER bloom. Yet I have buds now! Glory to God O Most High!
I just wanted to say the wait is worth it! Do NOT give up! The Bible tells us to “not get weary in well doing.” He makes us wait for our good.
What does 2GBG stand for? I’m glad you asked. It stands for To God be Glory. That is the motto of my life so it is fitting to also be the motto of my business. I believe that we are children of the Most High God. Every human being is related spiritually and connected. Our heavenly Father created us to create. We can create our lives by what we speak as in the book of Proverbs. Life and death are in the power of our words. We can create thoughts in others by them hearing our voices in their heads. We can create atmospheres of peace, love and joy. Or we could create atmospheres of chaos, hate, and fear. The choice is ours.
In 2GBG our purpose is to give the option for you to have clothing and accessories that promote positive ideals. Our pieces can be worn in everyday life and for making a statement. We have unisex hoodies and t-shirts. As well as home items like throw pillows. For you coffee, hot cocoa, and tea drinkers we have nice ceramic mugs.
We hope to bless you and encourage you to know that you are able to shine bright. The Good Book says that we should arise and shine for our light has come. Jesus Christ is the light of the world and He lives in us! Our bodies are the home for His Holy Spirit let’s adorn it with things that promote the Good News He brought.

Have you ever had a hard time staying on track? I know I have. With all the ups and downs that life can bring it’s a little exhausting. “Whew!” Now that you and I have caught our breath let’s continue. Earlier this year I joined a fitness club. I was consistent and went four days a week for four months. Then I quit. In my defense I had never been to the gym consistently before and really could not handle (stand) the older guys hitting on me. Not literally of course!
So right there I lost my focus. I had a goal weight loss and even threw out my junk food. I even got my little guys involved and we went as a family to the gym. We ran, jumped and skipped up a sweat. But I let someone’s actions shift my FOCUS.
See what I did there? I shifted your focus to the letters above. Our minds can be influenced to change thus pushing our goals further away. One month ago I started going back to the gym, I saw “Pops” he tried it and I ignored him and went to the treadmill. I kept my focus and meet a young lady who needed a work out buddy! Look at how God worked that out for me. But it is up to me to stay focused.
Another time I wanted to start a business. I helped someone keep their business afloat and share my ideas with her in hopes she would mentor me. She did not. I was discouraged and pushed my idea to the back burner while doing all she asked of me. I celebrated her success and was the youngest board member in her organization. I was not completely happy though. So this year I wrote a plan and this month I started to execute it.
I started a small online store and will stay focused to make my goals attainable from now on. https://2gbg.myshopify.com/discount/NEWYEARLOOK. Please check it out and use the discount for free shipping until Jan. 17, 2018. Staying focused can bring peace and stability to you in many ways. Try it you may like it.
Blessings to you!
“I give you my all”. That is a statement of trust beyond understanding. To look at it naturally you may say that in giving your all to someone in relationship or dedicated service. But how about if you look at it spiritually? Saying to the Most High “I give You my all” should mean the same. The trouble is it is harder for us to give our all to our Lord then it is to a human who will fail us. I wonder why. I believe it must do with our faith. The Bible gives us many examples of people doubting what God said He would do for them and through them. But it also shows Him doing what He said anyway. Numbers 23:19 says “God is not a man that he should lie, neither is he the son of man that he should repent. Has he said and will He not do it? Or has he spoken and He will not make it good? “ See He keeps His word. Especially the word He speaks to and over us.
An example of faith even when doubting is this Mark 9:24. It tells of a Dad who reaches out to Jesus because his son was being tormented by demons. The scripture states “Immediately the father of the child cried out and said “I believe; help my unbelief!” He knew that Christ could do what he needed, but could not fully grasps how or why. Instead of him saying I believe untruthfully he added but I ask you to help me with my doubt. Jesus was moved by his honesty and delivered the man’s son from the torment. Thus, the man gave his all even when he had to desperately trust a man he didn’t know fully. He poured out his issue knew God could do what he could not if he believed and allowed Him to.
Giving your all to the Creator of everything in the Earth and under the Earth is truly a sacrifice for our human nature. We have been taught to do things for ourselves and if we don’t we are not worth much. Or we are weak to be dependent and not independent. But the ultimate goal of the cross of the Christ was to bring us (humans) back to oneness with our Creator. Through a relationship with His Son Jesus and allowing His Spirit to live in us. John 3:16 states “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Our plans are nothing compared to His plans for us. He wants us to have a great life full of everything good! We should give Him what He gave us a life. Not losing anything but gaining everything. Jesus came to give us a life full of abundance in every area of life (see John 10:10).
Trust me I know it may be hard at first but if you try daily to just submit a little more of yourself daily to His will and plan it will be worth it. Remember coal is not looked at as precious and worth much until it has gone through extreme pressure. And God made you even more a precious jewel than diamonds! Give Him your all today. He has already given you His best.
Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the thoughts I think toward you, thoughts of good and not of evil to give you a hope and a future.” (NKJV) When read this I think of Joesph, Ruth, and Esther. They all experienced extreme heartbreak, and hardship yet they trusted God and walked toward their destiny.
Joesph was sold into slavery due to his brothers envy of him. He was falsely accused of a crime and placed in jail for decades. But all this allowed him to handle the task that God had for him. By being humble and believing God had a purpose Joseph was released from prison and was put in charge of gathering and distributing food to the nation of Egypt. He was the most important person under pharaoh. He was reunited with his family and was able to forgive them. (Gen.46-50)
Ruth was a woman who served idol gods. After her husband’s death she clung to her mother-in-law Naomi. Naomi believed in God and Ruth vowed to follow her and serve her God. By giving up everything she knew and getting a new faith she was immensely blessed. She was remarried to Boaz a man of great wealth and was restored. (The book of Ruth)
Esther was an orphan who loved God. She studied about Him. One day she was kidnapped and taken to the king’s palace. The king requested that young women be brought to him so that he may find a new queen. There was a decree sent out to kill all the jews in the land. Esther knew she had to do something but what? She was chosen to be queen and risked her life to save her people. She succeeds in her effort and the person who issued the decree was killed. (The book of Esther)
There are more people in the Bible who left what they knew best to walk toward their God given destiny. And like them we must know “what was meant for evil God will turn around for our good.” Gen. 50 and also that “all things work together for the good of those who love God.” Rom.8:28
Press on! 🙂
As we walk with God we can be challenged. Our friends and family may pulin joy on us. Our plans fail. Society labels us. We may even become overwhelming and like Jesus say “Lord please take this cup.” Discouragement comes and we can let it stay. Especially if things have been going wrong for some time.
But I’d like to share with you Psalms 126:5 “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.” You may cry all night long feeling like you have nowhere to turn. God sees your tears and promises to wipe them away. So take heart and strut in joy. You have to choose sadness, or happiness, joy or mourning.
There is a season for everything under the sun but when that time has passed make sure you smile through the pressure or depression could follow. Remember without pressure coal would never turn to diamonds or a caterpillar would not transform into a butterfly.
Bless God during these hard times and you would be encouraged. Strutting in joy allows you to worship and praise instead of hiding and weeping. You too will be able to say like David “The Lord is my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise Him.”
When I am discouraged I like to listen to music. Sometimes it’s instrumental only. Other times it’s contemporary gospel. I also journal and that helps me clear my head. I am struttingIin joy but taking baby steps. I endure a lot as a single mom but God is always good to me. So I smile.
One song I like says “This joy I have, the world didn’t give it and the world can’t take it away. After all that I’ve been through I still have my joy.” Strut on ladies and gentlemen and do so in joy making joyful noise unto the Lord because joy comes in the morning. Psalms 30:5.
If you feel depressed and feel you are at rock bottom please talk to someone. Your life matters.
